Where the AU400 fits
Workshops on single-phase services, farms, and retrofits on sites without a three-phase service. The motor keeps its standard 380 V three-phase configuration; the drive performs the conversion. The platform catalogue lists AU400-class models including explosion-proof-housing variants and 50/60 Hz conversion models; the conversion context is covered on the frequency converters page, and smaller 220 V-native duties are on the single-phase VFD page.
Sizing note
State the motor nameplate and the supply in your enquiry and ask for the model against them to be stated in the quotation.
Supply-side checks before ordering
The published AU400 input window is 220 V ±15% at 50/60 Hz; the input current for a given motor and model is not published in the documentation. State your available supply current in the enquiry, and ask for the applicable model against it to be stated in the quotation.
Protection depth: 47 fault types
The series documentation counts 47 types of fault detection and protection, and lists the working set: overcurrent, overload, overvoltage, module fault, undervoltage, overheating, external fault, grounding fault and potentiometer fault protection. On a remote or lightly attended site — the farm and workshop settings the AU400 is documented for — that protection set is the part of the specification to compare. The functions are published; for how they are configured for a specific machine, ask with your enquiry.
Frequently asked questions
Can the AU400 run a 75 kW motor from a domestic supply?
The AU400 series envelope reaches 75 kW. The single-phase input current for the model is a separate figure: ask for the supply to be checked against the model in the quotation.
Does the motor need rewiring?
The boost route exists so the motor keeps its standard 380 V three-phase configuration while the site supplies 220 V; ask for the connection arrangement for your motor to be stated in the quotation.
Is a braking unit included?
Built in from 1.5 to 22 kW per the AU400 documentation; optional at 30–37 kW and external above 37 kW.
Send us your motor rating and application
Tell us the motor power, the supply voltage on site and what the drive will run — pump, fan, machine tool or lift. Minimum order is 1 piece on the main catalogue lines, as published on the platform store; ask for price and lead time for your model and quantity to be stated in the quotation.
